What is a Half Marathon?
A half marathon is a long-distance road running event with a total distance of 21.0975 kilometers (13.1 miles), which is half the length of a full marathon.
It's a popular race for runners who want to challenge themselves with a distance that's shorter than a marathon but still requires significant endurance and training. Half marathons are often held as part of larger marathon events or as standalone races.
It’s the kind of event where you can test your endurance, push your limits, and maybe even reconsider your life choices somewhere around kilometer 15. But don’t worry—by the time you cross that finish line, you’ll be filled with pride, joy, and probably a strong desire for a really big nap.
