Several students study hard and enroll in a government college like DU. However, when it comes to the expenses of living to study in such colleges, they are no better than private colleges.

The annual cost of living in a DU hostel can reach or even exceed 10 lakh rupees if we include food and other necessary expenses. This makes studying hard for such colleges not so worth it since they become almost as expensive as studying in private colleges in your city.

More Employment Opportunities

Even after studying well and acquiring degrees from well-known colleges, several youngsters struggle to find good jobs due to a lack of employment opportunities.

The opportunities are limited and private companies are willing to hire only the very best among the youth, something they can't be blamed for. Due to this, most hardworking but untalented people can't get a hold of good jobs and are thus forced to roam in search of jobs for a very long time.

Setting up more employment opportunities will probably prove to be the most beneficial action for India since more potential employees will get hired, which will improve the overall GDP of the country.

One such underrated field is Hacking. Hacking might seem illegal as well as unethical but hackers can be useful once they put their talents to good use. For example, hackers can easily detect and prevent cybercrime. Moreover, they can also help in strengthening the cyber security of India. After all, only a hacker can properly predict another hacker's moves.

Such job fields will not only help in India's development but will also allow several hidden talents to come out and get employed.

E-Learning

Providing ample job opportunities, improving education quality, and even cutting down on living expenses might not be sufficient when many of the students are physically incapable of attending classes. Not every student can attend college regularly if he/she lives far away from the college. Cutting down on hostel expenses can only allow a limited number of students to live near colleges and study daily.

For students who are physically incapable of attending classes due to distance problems, e-learning is the best method to teach them. We have already adopted this means of education in the past during lockdown and now all we need to do is spread it further and permanently.

Of course, it should remain an alternative means of education and not a replacement for the old ways of teaching since a complete takeover of e-learning will result in many teachers losing their jobs. A complete replacement of e-learning will also nullify any effort made to decrease hostel costs since no student would need to visit the college.

Right now, we can only predict the actual benefits the youth will receive from this new budget. The actual results will come forward after some time due to the budget's effects. Right now, this new education budget looks promising and carries the potential to give Indian youth the boost they need to showcase their talent to its maximum potential.

Fortunately, it seems that the Indian government is finally understanding the importance of the youth of our nation and its big purpose of carrying on and possibly improving the legacy of the previous generation. A developed nation can only be achieved by a developed youth and that can only be possible through the actions of the government.
