Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College ( informally known as DDUC ) is one of the colleges of the University of Delhi in India, located at Azad Hind Fauj Marg, Phase 1, Sector-3, Dwarka, New Delhi, Delhi. It is fully funded by the Government of Delhi.
It is a modern and well-equipped multi-storey building that spans an area of 7.7 acres, with a basement and 7 floors. The campus is surrounded by lush greenery and divided into three blocks – Academic, Utility, and Hostel. The basement provides parking space for over 600 cars.
The college boasts a large air-conditioned cafeteria that can accommodate around 100 people, with excellent furnishings and ambience. An AMUL counter is available on-site for students to purchase AMUL products and a stationery shop is attached to the canteen, offering photocopying, printing, and document lamination services. The college has a modern Auditorium that can seat over 300 people. It is centrally air-conditioned and comes equipped with top-of-the-line audio-visual facilities. The stage has wooden flooring, which makes it ideal for activities such as dances, drama, and concerts. Additionally, it is often used for Seminars, Conferences, and Lectures given by notable speakers.
Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College held a multitude of lively and exciting events that were enjoyed by all who attended. Among the festivities were the vibrant Aarpo Onam celebration, the rhythmic and energetic Dandiya Night, and the colourful and joyous Diwali Mela. Each event was filled with music, dancing, and other performances creating a lively and festive atmosphere on campus.
The college conducted an educational trip to Iskcon Temple, Lotus Temple and Qutub Minar. This helped us cherish our cultural heritage and increased our knowledge about the history of these places.
A movie screening also took place in the college in which they showed OMG 2, Shatranj ke Khilari.
Similarly, to increase our general knowledge and for career-oriented aspirants, the college conducted various workshops on UPSC, in which an IPS officer was invited as well and teachers from Physics Wallah came to inspire the students and talk about their journey.
The college hosted two-day cultural Academic activities of G20 where a panel discussion took place on the topic: “Initiatives in INDO-US Education Sector: Exploring Indian Knowledge System”. The guest speakers were professors of Jawaharlal Nehru University, Miranda House and other eminent people.
The college hosts an annual inter-cultural fest, Kalrav which features events such as DJ night, and Kavi Sammelan.
The events were carefully planned to ensure that each participant not only had a great time but also gained valuable knowledge on a wide range of topics. Thanks to the thoughtful organization, everyone enjoyed themselves while expanding their understanding of various subjects.
