Vibe Check At IHE‌‌!

Ambiance‌‌

The ambiance in the Institute of Home Economics is very good, especially during the fest. The faculty, teaching staff and non-teaching staff are all good, and it is easy to interact with them. All our queries are resolved, all we need to do is to connect with the Admin. The Admin staff is easy to interact with, but one person is a bit hard to talk to as he gets furious when you cut his line.

Insight about IHE‌‌

Sure of it, the cafeteria really needs a renovation. Yeah, you heard it right, our college ends before it starts. I mean seriously, the moment you step into the foyer and take a look outside, it ends. It does break our hearts, but what can you do about it? But yeah, a good advantage over it is that you don't have to walk that much to attend the classes. Haha!

Anyways, the annual cultural fest here is called FERIA and that's the fun we're talking about!

How to reach IHE?

Leave from the college front gate, move to your right, walk some steps and you will be at the metro station of Hauz Khas, Gate No. 3. That's right! Institute of Home Economics is at a very accessible location via metro or bus. It will just take a 1-minute walk to reach the college from either of them. Want to come by bus? We have you covered here as well! The nearest bus stand to the college is the Sarvpriya Vihar bus stand.

Hangout Places Near IHE

The surroundings of our college includes a food bus named Delhi Chow, where delicious food is available, both veg and non-veg. Just at walking distance, Mayfair Garden is a place where you can chill out with your friends and can have lunch. The Hauz Khas market and pretty looking buildings will attract your attention, here.

Nearby Cafés

There are many cafes near IHE, at walking distance. But they are not very pocket-friendly as you are in Hauz Khas, an expensive area. A pair or group, if willing to spend about 200-300 rupees per head, can enjoy a delicious meal. Move to your left and head straight to reach the Café Diggin or just Google "nearby café" bro!

Markets

Hauz khas market is 1 to 2 km far away from college and it will be a bit expensive but the Green park market is pocket friendly and you can enjoy food and buy a dress.‌‌ There is also Sarojini Nagar market and INA market near the campus. Sarojini Nagar market is pretty famous for its cheap clothing, footwear and accessories and to reach there you can take the metro and also go there by bus. The INA market is expensive and honest opinion: its not much fun there.

Conclusion

The overall experience at IHE is pretty good. Various hangouts and cafés are nearby. Hauz Khas is a bit expensive, but you can also find pocket-friendly places, anyways. The college atmosphere is also good, but you do have to work a bit extra hard to improve your college reputation, the seniors are nice, and you will have a wonderful experience during your college time.
