About DU

The courses offered at UNDERGRADUATE are B.Com(Hons), B.Com, B.A.(Hons) in English, Sanskrit, History, Sociology, Hindi, Economics, Political Science and B.A (Programme), B.Sc.(Hons) in Physics, Botany, Biological Sciences, Electronics, Statistics, Chemistry, Zoology, Biochemistry, Mathematics and B.Sc. (Programme) in Life Sciences.
The college also offers POST GRADUATE COURSES, which includes M. A in History, English, Sanskrit, M. A/M.Sc. in Statistics, Mathematics, M.Sc. in Botany, Zoology, Physics, Chemistry.
Library
Now, what should I tell you about the college library? A knowledge hub with more than 1,45,891 book titles on different disciplines. To provide easy access to the shelves, it uses the Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC). All the facilities and resources you need, whether it is print or electronic, books, journals (print and electronic), newspapers, online databases, magazines, atlases, encyclopedias and dictionaries, you will all find them there. E-books, E- journals through online e-resources are also available.
The library is fully computerized. In addition to the college library, departmental libraries are also accessible by students for quick and easy access to books. The entire library is under CCTV surveillance. The library is fully air-conditioned and Wi-Fi enabled. Wow! Well, this is a library I am dying hard to get at my college.
Placement opportunities
An amazing wow! To the Placement Cell of Sri Venkateswara College, which is constantly reaching new heights with over 200+ placement offers and a massive 930+ internship offers to the students. Society takes into consideration the future of students and works to make a brighter future for them up ahead.
The Cell got 200+ Placement Offers for the Departments of Science, Commerce and Arts in multinational organizations. Companies like DE Shaw, Accenture, Deloitte (Offices of the US), KPMG, PwC, EY, Wipro, Barclays India, United Airlines, Willis Towers Watson, AON, Barclays India and PwC India, Grant Thornton and Byju's have shown up for the placement.
The packages offered by the company are huge. For the session 2021-22, the average salary package stands at INR 5.90 LPA and the highest package stood at INR 21.5 LPA, offered by DE Shaw.
The Placement Cell is very active and is not only focused on the final years but also creates opportunities for first and second years, like conducting seminars on resume building, creating internship opportunities. Sri Venkateswara College hostel, does has the hostel facility for both boys and girls but due to limited availability accommodation only those students who do not reside within the NCR region of Delhi (Gurgaon, Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad) and on the basis of academic merit (more the marks more the chances to get a hostel) are eligible for the hostel.

The vibes of Venky are surely amazing. Fun craze and surrounded with great people. The college is super active here and there with one or two jaw dropping events happening each month. Teachers as well as seniors are all supportive. They are your best friend together with being your mother and a great counsellor whether it is related to, career or personal life. Do not miss out on joining societies, because that’s the best part.
Something Fun About SVC
Fests and events happening almost every month add a fun element to the college. Diverse societies with their own specific roles add another fun element to the college. Cultural events and the annual fest of the college NEXUS are just enough to excite the students.

All the famous restaurants are there on the Hudson lane in the immediate vicinity. Across the street you will have plenty of vendors for delicious momos and other stuff.QDs, BYD, Pizza Hut are among so many. As per the reviews, I would say that the college canteen is okay.
Markets
Satya Niketan market is just opposite the SVC. With modern development, now it is a piece of cake in Delhi to visit any place within 30 minutes. That gives it access to all the markets in the capital, whether it is Sarojini market or Karol Bagh.

Although the college is not among the top 10 DU colleges, it still has an exciting campus life. The college exudes a vibrant ambience, reflecting the energy emanated by students engaged in diverse academic pursuits and extracurricular activities.
