Ramanujan College proudly presents "Josh- A Cultural Fest of 2024," a two-day extravagant festival to be held on the 1st February and 2nd February' 2024. There are various events throughout the fest, exciting competitions organized by societies, including music and dance competitions, fashion shows, and unlimited fun.
Be prepared to have your mind blown away and your spirits and body sway to the rhythms of JOSH! Register yourself and be part of this exciting phenomenon.

Where is this happening?
The fest will be held on the campus of Ramanujan college located in Kalkaji, near Nehru Place in South Delhi.
The nearest metro station to reach here is Nehru Enclave Metro Station on the Magenta Line. It is only 1 km away from the college makes up for a 5 min walk with auto rickshaws also readily available.

TARK- The Debating and Creative Writing Society of the Ramanujan College brings to you three exciting competitions:
1. Bilingual Poetry Competition:
Date: 1st February 2024.
Time: 10 A.M. onwards
Venue: Ramanujan College
Cash Prizes worth: Rs. 5000/-
Guidelines:
1. Individual Registration: Only individual registrations are accepted.
2. On-the-Spot Theme: Participants receive a theme on the spot for their poetry composition.
3. Time Constraints: One hour is allowed for composing original poetry, and a maximum of four minutes for recitation. The poem must be self-composed.
2. Inter-College Bilingual Conventional Debate Competition:
Date: 2nd February 2024
Time: 10 A.M.
Venue: Ramanujan College
Cash Prizes worth: Rs. 10,000/-
Guidelines:
1. Language and Format: Debates are conducted in Hindi or English following a conventional format.
2. Group Registration: Individual registrations are not permitted; participants must register as part of a team.
3. Slot confirmation post-registration. The debate topic is revealed 2 days prior. Speakers are limited to 3 minutes for speech and 1 minute for interjection.
3. Creative Writing Competition:
Date: 2nd February 2024
Time: 10 A.M.
Cash Prizes worth: Rs. 5000
Guidelines:
1. Only individual registration allowed.
2. Medium: Hindi or English; format involves choosing from 6 prompts revealed on the competition day.
3. Compose original content within a 1-hour time limit; self-composed pieces.
BRUSHSTROKES- The Art Society of Ramanujan College brings us with:

FIRSTCUT- The Filmmaking and Photography Society of Ramanujan College proudly presents CINETURION’24!
1. ‘Lensation’
On The Spot Photography Competition: Let the power of your lens show its brilliance.
Date: 2nd February 2024
Time: 10 A.M.
Guidelines:
1. Physical Competition: Conducted offline with a reporting time of 10:00 a.m.
2. Team Event: Open to students from all colleges; teams of 2 or 3 people allowed.
3. College Limit: Maximum 2 teams per college; each team given 2 hours for clicking and editing pictures.
4. Equipment and Submission: Teams bring their own equipment; only basic editing allowed. Submit pictures in JPEG format with suitable captions and EXIF details.
LAYATAAL Presents NIREEKSHANA'24: A Classical Dance Competition.
“Dance to your heart’s desire.”
Date: 1st February 2024
Time: 11:30 A.M.
Guidelines:
1. Dance Form Restriction: Strictly classical dance; any other form results in disqualification.
2. Categories: Solo & Duet; submit a 1-2 mins video in landscape mode.
3. Video Regulations: No trimming, merging, or special effects allowed. Only edit for music addition; exceeding the time limit leads to disqualification.
4. Registration and Prelims: Two registrations per category from a college society.
SHIVRANJANI- The Music Society of Ramanujan College brings to you “OVERDRIVE”- The Battle of Bands.
Date: 2nd February 2024
Time: 10 A.M.
Guidelines:
1. Single College Entry: Only one team per college advances to the final; no multiple entries accepted.
2. Band Requirements: 4-8 members with no swapping during performances.
3. Instruments and Setup: Bring personal instruments and stands; basic drum kit provided.
4. Restrictions and Guidelines: No MIDI instruments or loops; no language or genre restrictions; strict 20-minute stage time for sound check and performance.
BHANGRA REGIMENT- The Folk Dance Society of Ramanujan College invites you to FOLK BATTLE: an annual inter-college group folk dance competition.
Date: 2nd February 2024
Time: 9 A.M.
Guidelines: (2 Rounds)
1. Prelims (Online): Video submission round with a 3-5 minute time limit. Practice or performance videos allowed, but no editing. Provide a Google Drive link.
2. Finals (Offline): 6-8 minute time limit with an extra 5 minutes for props and mic setup. Multiple teams allowed per college (8-15 participants).
3. Live Performance Rules: For live teams, a maximum of 5 accompanists allowed. Props are permitted.
4. Music and Judging Criteria: Use only authentic folk music; no Bollywood, film songs, or fusion. Judged on various criteria, including choreography, costumes, expressions, sync, and overall impact.
PANACHE- The Fashion Society presents FLAMBOYANCE-The Fashion Show.
A chance to flaunt your inner Gigi Hadid!
Time: 4 P.M.
Guidelines:
1. Team and Entry Restrictions: One entry per college allowed; teams must consist of 8 to 15 members, inclusive of makeup artists, models, and management.
2. Theme and Duration: Theme involves any social message; performances should be 10-12 minutes, covering both stage setup and the actual performance. Strict prohibition of vulgarity.
DNA- DANCE NUCLEIC ACID- The Western Dance Society brings to you Hustle’24
Let the music move you because the ultimate Western group dance competition is back!
Date: 1st February 2024
Time: 9 A.M.
Guidelines:
1. Team Composition: Teams must have 5-25 members, with on-stage performances featuring 5-15 members.
2. Performance Duration: Each performance should last between 5-8 minutes, with an additional 1 minute for stage setup.
3. Safety Regulations: Strictly prohibit the use of fire, smoke, and colors for participant and audience safety.
4. Preliminary Round Rules:
- Team limit: 5-25 members
- Stage limit: 5-15 members
- Time limit: 3-5 minutes
- Prohibition on fire, smoke, and colors; everyone must carry their ID cards.
PRAMANA- The Quiz Society is organizing "SPICES AND STORIES"- An inter-college quiz competition.
Date: 2nd February 2024
Time: 11 A.M.
Guidelines:
1. Theme and Team Size: Theme is "India," and teams consist of two members.
2. Competition Structure: Three rounds include an online Elimination Round on the UNSTOP app with 25 questions, followed by offline Prelims on February 2nd within the college premises. The top 8 teams from Prelims qualify for the offline Mains, also on February 2nd.
3. Venue and Dates: Prelims and Mains take place in the college premises on February 2nd.
