"Mirror Mirror on the wall, which is the best fest of them all?" That’s right, the mirror never lies because it’s none other than Rhapsody'24, organized by the beloved Maitreyi College!
Rhapsody’24
Rhapsody means an enthusiastic expression of feeling. (as I’m told by Merriam Webster). And honestly, the title could not have been more perfect! Coming in the month of April, the annual fest of Maitreyi college aka Rhapsody’ 24 promises unending fun and craziness. With extravagant performances, stalls, music, and food, you’ll find yourself being enchanted with the spirits of the event.
So be prepared to be blown away by its magic as we give you all the details of the upcoming event :

Where Is It?
The fest will be held on the grounds of Maitreyi College, located in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi.
Because of the Pink Line of Delhi Metro, it's now easy to reach the College. The closest metro station is called Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus, and it's about 1 kilometer away from the college, making up for a 15 minute walk.

What Can You Expect?
Here’s a run down of the major events that will take place.
1. RAPZILLA:
Calling out to you, lover of words and music! Get ready for the RAPZILLA, a thrilling Rap Battle event at Maitreyi College's Annual Fest - Rhapsody24'.
Date: 4th April, 2024
Time: 1:00 P.M.
Venue: Sports Ground, Maitreyi College
Everything You Need To Know:
1. Round 1: Online- Share your mind-blowing rap verses by filling out the Google form we've given. Remember to upload your entries in MP4 format.
2. Round 2: Offline- Get ready for the ultimate showdown in the final round, where finalists will go head-to-head in an electrifying live Rap Battle. Bring your best skills to the stage and own it!
3. Get ready for some thrilling rewards for those with the sharpest lyrical skills. It's your moment to shine.
4. E-certificates will be awarded to all participants.
2. K-Pop Random Dance Marathon:
A dazzling event at Maitreyi College's Annual Fest - Rhapsody’ 24. Tap into your inner BLACKPINK and dance to the rhythms of K-Pop magic.

Time: 10:30 A.M.
Venue: Amphitheater
Everything You Need To Know:
1. For enrollment in the offline event, participants must submit a dance video exhibiting their skills on a K-Pop song of their preference in MP4 format.
2. Those participants who are selected will be invited to showcase their talent in the offline competition.
3. Exciting prizes await standout performers, so come prepared to bring your dance energy!
4. All participants will receive e-certificates as recognition for their participation.
3. TOONCRAFT
This one is for all you artists out there, Welcoming you and your mad artistic skills to participate in TOONCRAFT:- The artistic Caricature Competition at Annual Fest of Maitreyi College, University of Delhi- Rhapsody24'

Time: 10:00 A.M.
Venue: NSB 3
Everything You Need To Know:
1. Contestants are required to submit entries through Google Form in JPEG or PNG format for the First aka the Preliminary round.
2. Finalists will participate in a live Caricature drawing session during the offline Final round.
3. Organizers will be providing the participants with all the essential drawing materials for the Final round.
4. Winners will receive exciting prizes, while all participants will be granted E-certificates for their involvement.
5. Match The Beat'24
A western group dance competition hosted as part of Maitreyi College's Annual Fest, Rhapsody’24 brought to you by Zeal- The western dance Society.
6. Gali-Gali Sim Sim
Artisto, Maitreyi College's fine arts society, and the Student’s Union present "Gali-Gali Sim Sim: An Art Exhibition Competition" as part of "RHAPSODY 2024."
Everything You Need To Know:
Teams are restricted to a maximum of five members.
Each participant must bring their Aadhar and college ID cards for entry; entry without them will not be permitted.
Organizers will supply tables, chairs, and one rope per team.
Participants should arrive at the venue 30 minutes before the exhibition begins at 10:30 am.
The competition is open to all college students with valid Student IDs.
7. Glazed
Galore, Maitreyi College's Fashion Society, introduces its Annual Inter-University event, Glazed, during Rhapsody 2023-24 festivities.
Everything You Need To Know:
Open to all years and courses; teams limited to 2 participants each.
Exciting prizes await the winners.
Competition consists of 2 rounds: Prelims (Online - Collage of inspiration) and Finals (Offline - Makeup).
Teams must interpret the given theme using makeup and face art.
Each team comprises 1 makeup artist and 1 model. Obscenity leads to disqualification. Judging based on Creativity, Imagination, and Theme Relevance.
8. Forge
Galore, Maitreyi College's Fashion Society, hosts Forge, its Annual Inter-University event, as part of Rhapsody 2023-24.
Everything You Need To Know:
Open to all years and courses; only team participation allowed.
Exciting cash prizes await the winners.
Competition features 2 rounds: Prelims (Online) and Finals (Offline Stage Performance).
Teams must convey a theme through ramp walk; final performance time limit: 10-12 mins.
9. Brought To You By Abhivyakti
The theatre society of of Maitreyi College aka Abhivyakti presents to you- AKS'24 and Intifada. Join to showcase your talent among the brightest minds.
10. Apollonia
Melomania - The Solo Singing Competition and IndoChimes - The Battle of the Bands presented by Apollonia, the Western Music Society of Maitreyi College.
11. Pratyang
Nrityakriti, the Indian Dance Society of Maitreyi College, University of Delhi, warmly welcomes you to PRATYANG - The Solo Classical Dance Competition.
Everything You Need To Know:
Prelims (online mode): Each entry limited to 2-3 minutes; no video editing permitted. Maximum 2 entries per college.
Finals (offline mode): Time limit set at 5-8 minutes; introduction must provide a brief description of the dance piece. Only two entries allowed per college.
Judging criteria: Choreography, costume, technique, expression, and overall presentation. Judges' decision is final and binding.
Only authentic classical music allowed; Bollywood, film songs, semi-classical, or fusion music not permitted. Registration fee: ₹50.
12. Malang
Nrityakriti, the Indian Dance Society of Maitreyi College, University of Delhi, cordially invites you to Malang - a group folk dance competition.

13. Rhytmix
Get ready to groove with RHYTMIX: HOOK STEP CHALLENGE, a thrilling event featured in Maitreyi College's Annual Fest, Rhapsody24. Brought to you by the Students' Union of Maitreyi, this is where the excitement unfolds!

Time: 11.30 A.M.
Venue: GCR Lane
14. Cosplay Carnival
Register now, unleash creativity, shine on the cosplay stage, embrace the magic!
Everything You Need To Know:
Only individual participation permitted; register by March 20, 2024.
Preliminary Round: Upload original costume pictures with descriptions; no copyrighted material allowed.
Final Round: Top contestants perform live with costumes on stage; acts must be within 3 minutes.
Maintain respectful atmosphere; no inappropriate language or content allowed.
Criteria include craftsmanship, accuracy, creativity, and presentation; decisions of impartial panel are final.
15. Filmesque
Experience "The Script Odyssey" and "Beyond Frames" by Filmesque- Maitreyi College's Filmmaking and Appreciation Society, in Rhapsody 24.
16. Sashakt
SASHAKT'24 by Trenchant, Maitreyi College's English Debating Society, featured in Rhapsody.
Everything You Need To Know:
Teams consist of 2 members: one for affirmative, one for negative.
Each participant has 2 minutes for their argument.
Registration: First come, first served basis; fee ₹200 per team.
Slot allocation based on registration order.
17. UrbanQuest
Explore real estate and property management with Dravya in Rhapsody'24, Maitreyi College's Cultural Fest.
Everything You Need To Know:
Online Preliminary Round: Quiz on real estate, finances, and asset management.
Final Round: Offline event featuring Virtual Property Tycoon and strategic decision-making.
Accumulate highest capital through property values and cash.
Victory awarded to team with most wealth accumulated.
18. Markiverse
Introducing Markiverse: Explore infinite marketing horizons, redefine collaboration dynamics.
Everything You Need To Know:
Round 1, the Preliminary Round, is set for April 4th, starting at 10:30 am at Maitreyi College.
Following this, Round 2, the Final Showdown, will occur.
Participants have the option to compete individually or in teams of 2.
