To get into this course, you need to appear for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). The cut-off for both programs is quite high since this college is one of the top colleges and a student needs to score above 98% to grab a seat at this prestigious college.
Miranda House
Established in the 1948, just one year after independence, the second best college that is in the list is Miranda House, a top ranking and highly prestigious women colleges in India. In the NIRF ranking 2023, Miranda house stood as the number 1 college in the country.

This college was established in 1954. Kirori Mal College, popularly known as KMC, is the fourth among the best colleges for political science honours in DU and one of the top colleges affiliated by University Of Delhi. It has a lively campus life since its in the north campus, with numerous societies and help in the holistic development of a student's personality.
Political Science in KMC is taught by La Politique Department of political science. The department not only focuses on classroom studies but also helps develop an overall understanding of political concepts.
For this, the department organises the Frank Thakur Das memorial lecture and the department fest named Politicana annually. The department also has its annual magazine, Awaaz, which is released at the end of each annual session. One has to work really hard to get a seat in this college.
Sri Venkateswara College
Established in 1961, the fifth college that we have lined up is Sri Venkateswara College, commonly called as Venky, is a prestigious college in south campus that is affiliated with the University of Delhi. The college is known for its academic excellence and is ranked 13th among the best colleges in the country. The college is especially known for its courses in arts.
The department of political science here was established in 1974 and provides both BA programme and BA Honours as well as MA in political science. It offers the students the conceptual understanding that they need to engage in further specialized courses and research projects.
Graduating from Venky with a political science degree opens up a huge number of career opportunities for students, such as in journalism, politics, research, academics, bureaucracy and much more. You have to work hard day and night to get into this amazing college.
Ramjas College
Established in 1917, the sixth and last but not the least college that we have here is Ramjas College, which is affiliated with the University of Delhi and provides both BA Programme and BA Honours in political science. A student of political science at Ramjas College gets a vast insight into a wide range of topics, such as political theory, comparative political systems, Indian politics and polity, international relations, world order, and the administrative state.
The department of Political Science here has its own society- Spartacus that organizes cultural and academic events. The society is also responsible for the publication of the department's annual magazine. A student needs to attempt CUET and score more than 94-95% by hook or by crook to be on the safe side in order to get admission into this college.
